মহাষষ্ঠীর সন্ধ্যায় দেবীকে জাগ্রত করার আচার—বেলগাছ, পটে বা কলাবউ-র মাধ্যমে দেবীর আহ্বান।
দেবীকে মণ্ডপে আমন্ত্রণ ও প্রতিমায় প্রতিষ্ঠা করা—প্রাণ প্রতিষ্ঠার প্রস্তুতি।
মহাসপ্তমীতে দেবীর প্রতিমায় ‘প্রাণ’ আহ্বান—মন্ত্রোচ্চারণ ও ঔপচারিক নিধান।
নয় প্রকার পত্রিকা দিয়ে প্রকৃতির পূজা। কলাবউ-কে গঙ্গাজলে স্নান করিয়ে দেবীর পাশে স্থাপন করা হয়।
মহাসপ্তমী থেকে মহানবমী—ভক্তরা মন্ত্রোচ্চারণে দেবীর চরণে পুষ্প নিবেদন করেন।
অষ্টমী ও নবমীর সংযোগক্ষণে ১০৮টি প্রদীপ জ্বালিয়ে তন্ত্রোচিত পূজা—দুর্গার চণ্ডীমঙ্গল স্মরণ।
কুমারী কন্যায় দেবীর শক্তিকে আরাধনা—বিশুদ্ধতা ও মাতৃশক্তির প্রতীকী সম্মান।
ধুনুচিতে ধূপ-নারকেল খোলার জ্বালায় নৃত্য—উৎসবের উন্মাদনা ও ভক্তির প্রকাশ।
দশমীর দিন বিবাহিতা নারীদের সিঁদুর খেলা, এরপর দেবীর জল-বিসর্জন ও ‘শুভ বিজয়া’ বিনিময়।
